In this research, it was tried to be described the opinions and suggessions of the teachers and students about the sufficiency of the Graphic Department students for use of graphic programs on computers in Vocational High School. The questionnaire form which was prepared by taking competent people?s opinions was formed up into 5 parts, and in these parts the competence which measures 5 several graphic programs took place.The research was applied on 9 art teachers, 6 graphic teachers and 162 graphic department students who work and study in 6 Vocational High Schools and Anatolion Vocational High Schools which are connected to Ministry of National Education (MEB),Girls Technical Education General Directorate, in Ankara.The data which was acquired from the opinions of the teachers and students were analysed by using percentage and frequency value.According to findings of research, it was understood that the Graphic Department students of Vocational High School, which are connected to Girls Technical Education Institutions (Kız Teknik Eğitim Öğretim Kurumları), are adequate for the programs at a medium level, except Adobe Photoshop and Coreldraw Programs; and quite inadequate for Macromedia Freehand, Macromedia Director and Macromedia Dreamweaver.It was determined that the reason of the inadequacy of the students on programs originates from the branch teachers who do not use the graphic design programs at a required level and also those courses which are mostly carried on not by graphic design teachers, but the art teachers.
