Analysis for charismatic leadership behaviours of vocational high school principals

Vocational high schools are a middle school instituons which provide professional training. They are different from other middle school instituons because of their structure. The number of teachers and students are plentiful. In vocational high schools, there are productional activities along with education. In a vocational high school which has a system for making money, students not only get training but also get engaged in production activities. Thus, they aim reaching necessarry education level for labour market as well as making money.For managing to this complex structure of vocational high schools, it needs more than management. If principal has some leadership qualities, he will posses abilities to manage and show direction for teachers. Leader is a coach person who can influence others and identify targets and mission and show direction for people. In charismatic leadership, leader can be defined as a person who is set example and take risk and influence staff positively, motivate them, give them responsibility.The aim of this research is to idendify ?The charismatic leadership behaviour levels of vocational high school principals.? and to make suggestions. The research model covers 412 teachers in vocational high schools of European side of Istanbul province.This study consists of six sections. First section is intruduction, second is related references. In the third section, it has been given information about method of research. Forth section consists of findings. Fifth section covers outcomes of research, discussions and suggestions about outcomes.In this research some important outcomes and suggestions have been given according to those outcomes..Key Words: Charismatic leadership, vocational high school principal, behaviour of leadership.
