Abstract (EN)
In this research, vocational school students? expectations about their vocational education and the materialization level of these expectations are tried to be determined.A survey is developed to determine the demographic properties of the students, their expectations from vocational school education and the materialization level of these and the results of this survey creates the basis of this research.The questions in this survey are grouped under four subjects.A. Students? expectations about economic benefits regarding the futureB. Students? expectations about social benefits regarding the futureC. Students? expectations about personal benefits regarding the futureD. Students? expectations about vocational benefits regarding the futureThe survey is developed in regard with the Likert Scale.The measurement values of the questions are listed as ?strongly agree?, ?agree?, ?neither agree nor disagree?, ?disagree? and ?strongly disagree?.The significant results (p<0.05) of the statistical analysis are evaluated and are shown in the tables. The groups with no significant difference are not added.The theoretical information of this research is acquired through intensive exploration of relevant sources.The research is limited to 11 schools chosen amongst Industrial Schools, Vocational schools for Girls and Vocational High Schools situated in 3 districts (Beykoz, Üsküdar, Ümraniye) on the Asian part of Istanbul.The research consists of 6 parts.1.Introduction2.General information about the research3.Method4.Findings5.Discussions and Results6.SuggestionsThe results concerning the vocational school students? expectations and the materialization level of these expectations are discussed and suggestions are made regarding this data.Eray AYDINMarch 2008/ İSTANBUL
