Abstract (EN)

In this study, the knowledge levels of teachers who work in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools on learning disability were analyzed based on different variables. The study was conducted with 334 teachers in Vocational and Technical High Schools in the districts Odunpazari and Tepebasi under the Eskisehir Provincial Directorate of National Education. "Learning Disability Information Form" data collection tool was delivered to the teachers by the researcher himself. The explanatory research design was used for this study, which aims to reveal the knowledge levels of teachers about learning disability and the variables influencing this level of knowledge. The findings of the questionnaire were analyzed with the SPSS 23 package program. T test and Anova analysis were conducted along with descriptive analyses. As a result of the analyses, the following variables were found to be statistically influential on the knowledge level of the teachers; branches of teachers, having a student with an inability being educated in inclusive education classes and having participated an in-service training on special education previously. At the end of the study, it was concluded that learning disability shall be added as a course in undergraduate education and that in-service education is required for graduated teachers in order to resolve the lack of knowledge about learning disabilities.
