Abstract (EN)

The goal of this study is to determine the entrepreneurship perceptions of Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School of Higher Education students at Istanbul Gelişim University in the 2021-2022 academic year with respect to the variations between scientific and social sciences disciplines. Furthermore; it is aimed to examine the differences in the entrepreneurship perceptions of the students with respect to gender, age, program, enrollment to the entrepreneurship courses, monthly income, and the occupations of their parents. In order to determine these perception levels; a "University Students Entrepreneurship Scale" which is developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül, comprised of 36 subjects (2009) is employed. While forming the search groups, samples are chosen randomly to represent all programs at the vocational school of higher education. Evaluation of the data obtained in the study is carried out by using the SPSS 24 statistical analysis software. In order to determine the attitudes of the participants towards the expressions of "University Students Entrepreneurship Scale"; Frequency, percentage distributions, arithmetic mean and standard deviation values are calculated. Since the variables are not normally distributed, Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis tests are performed in accordance with the research hypotheses. As a result, the students' entrepreneurship perceptions are found to be at a high level. Finaly, it is observed that there is a significant difference between the students' learning status in social and science fields for their perceptions of entrepreneurship.
