Evaluation of vocational open education high school programs in Hammond program evaluation model

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate vocational open education high schools programs in accordance with the Hammond program evaluation model. The study was conducted through convergent parallel mixed method design. The participants are teachers/administrators in vocational open education high schools and students studying in vocational open education. The quantitative participants are 9 women, 77 male teachers/managers and 398 students studying in vocational open education. Of the students who answered the survey, 148 of them were female and 242 were male students. 8 did not specify gender. Qualitative participants are consist of 3 teachers/administrators and 9 students. In the study, the data was collected through semi-structured individual interviews and surveys. In addition, research logs were written by the researcher during the research process. Second-level induction analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. Surveys used in quantitative dimensions were analyzed in the statistical analysis program. As a result of the study, the findings of the organisational, content, method and possibilities as of the teaching dimension, which is the basic dimension of the Hammond program evaluation model, were presented.
