Sufficiency in the inspection and evaluation of the principals which is on duty at the association for vocational education.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the methods which the principals are employed in the inspection and evaluation stage at the Vocational High School; the point of view of teachers to the inspection and evaluation and the factors that affect the evaluation. This thesis contains six chapters. ?Introduction? is the first division of the study. In the second division of the thesis is given ?Theoretical Frame? of the methods. In the third chapter of this thesis, it is examined the survey techniques and results of the questionnaire. The information determined from the study is presented in the ?Conclusions? division. ?Discussion? and ?Suggestions? are fifth and sixth divisions of this thesis, respectively.The survey method is utilized in this research. The questionnaire used in this investigation was applied to 296 managers and teachers who are on duty at Vocational high School, Vocational Trade High School and Girls? Vocational High School in the town centers of Üsküdar, Ümraniye and Beykoz. The questionnaire consists of three parts and 49 questions. In the first part of the questionnaire includes personal information and individual questions. In the second and third parts are formed related questions.It is determined that the significant relation at level p.05 from the statistical solution of the questionnaire employed in the study. The significant differences are evaluated and presented as tables. The groups which are not observed significant difference are left out of the study. This thesis clarify that the principals who are on duty at the vocational high schools are lack of sufficient qualifications in the stage of inspection and evaluation. The other important results of this thesis are:?The school principals do not carry out their inspection and evaluation duties regularly.?The principals do not inform about the inspection results in written form.?The principals are taken into account the teachers who contribute to education specially while inspecting.Ahmet MadenJanuary, 2008
