Abstract (EN)

This research has been prepared to focus on the levels of anxiety of undergraduate students who get Professional music education. This study, using survey model, was carried out with undergraduate students who get professional music education at Inonu University in the academic year of 2018-2019. "The Anxiety Scale towards the Professional Teaching" and the personal form were used in order to collect data in the study. There are 56 questions totally in these forms 45 of which are about evaluating anxiety levels and 11 of which are about personal information. The statistical package program SPSS 25 was used for the obtained analysis of data. And after assumptions were checked, analysis such as T test, Kruskal Wallis analysis, Variance analysis (ANOVA) were used for the independent samples. According to the results of the research It was observed that there was no difference between the gender, place of birth, number of siblings, level of education of parents, type of profession of parents, main instrument, type of high school graduation and monthly income variables and the level of professional anxiety. According to studying categories of age variables and occupational anxiety levels, It was observed that there is a significant difference between the average scores of students aged 21-23 and those aged over 27. When the levels of occupational anxiety were examined according to the variants of faculties studied It was found that there was a significant difference between the Conservatory and the Faculty of Fine Arts. It was shown that this difference is in favour of the students studying in the faculty of Fine Arts so that these students have less worries on the profession. On the other hand, the Conservatory students are more worried than the other faculty students. Key Words: Music, Music Education, Anxiety, Occupational Anxiety
