Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to present the historical, technical and performing features of the Kanun and to propose a systematic approach to the teaching of the kanun in the beginners level of the music departments at universities. This is a descriptive study. For data collaction, questionnaire, library research and sampling methods were used. The aims in teaching the Kanun and the behavioral aims are determined and the historical development of the Kanun and its structural and technical features are examined. In this study also, the techniqes of holding, sitting and playing are presented with examples of relevant musical works.IV The study also provides examples and applications of how to use some necessary musical notes for the beginners level in teaching of the Kanun. This study, thus, tries to present a systematic approach to the teaching of the Kanun. Science Code : 101.25.02 Key Words : Teaching Kanun, Kanun teaching method.
