The opinions of the students, teachers and sector representatives related to effects of the skills training of the students of the child development and education departments of vocational and technical anatolian high schools

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the skills training of the students of the child development and education department at the vocational high schools in terms of student, teacher and business representative. In this study, descriptive and relational research methods are used as the research model. The population of the research consists of 1265 12th grade child development and education department students of 28 vocational high schools located in Izmir, 170 child development and education teachers of the same departments and business representatives. Sample of the research consists of 554 students and 70 teachers of 17 high schools and 40 representatives which accept these students for their internship programs. collecting tools in the research, the questionnaires of "Opinions of Students, Teachers and Sector Representatives of Internship in Business of Vocational High School Students for teachers, students and business representatives", developed by Alparslan (2004) was used. As the data The findings through the results can be summarized as: 1. It was determined that the views of the coordinator teachers about the effectiveness of the skill training did not show any difference according to the marital status, age, graduated school, vocational seniority, coordination duration. 2.The opinion of company owners on effectiveness of skill education shows variety according to the area of profession. 3. The opinions of the students about the effectiveness of the skill education differ according to the variables of the branch, the age and the father education level. 4. The opinions of students on the effectiveness of skill training do not differ according to the socio-economic level, the educational level of the mother, and the occupation of the parents.
