Abstract (EN)

The main aim of the research is to determine whether there is a relationship between the perceived principal management styles and occupational professionalism levels of teachers working in vocational and technical anatolian high schools. The research was designed in survey model. Target population of the study consists of 1312 teachers working in official vocational and anatolian technical high schools at Odunpazari and Tepebasi District of National Education Directorate which are central districts of Eskişehir province. "The Occupational Professionalism Scale of Teachers" developed by Yilmaz and Altinkurt (2014) and "Perceived Principal Management Style Scale" developed by Ustuner (2016) were used as data collection tool. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation analysis were done in the data analysis process. After the variance analysis, the Tukey multiple comparison test was used to reveal the source of the differences observed between the independent variable levels. As a result of the research, it was found that teachers had a high level of occupational professionalism and stated that principals mostly used cooperative management style. It was determined that there was a low, positive and statistically significant relationship between the occupational professionalism of teachers and the perceived principal management style.
