Abstract (EN)
The basic purpose of this research is; to find out the thoughts of teachers on how the old-fashioned principals in Occupational Technical Education Institutions and Schools effect the education. According to this main purpose; The center of the research is composed of 283 teachers who work in Endüstri Meslek High Schools and Vocational Education Centers in Kartal region in 2005-2006 academic year. All the teachers in those schools tried to be reached but unfortunately the survey is applied to 101 teachers. The survey used in the research was used by Z.Kaplanoglu and its validity is accepted. All the permissions are taken to use the survey. These results are gained from the findings; 1.The obsoleteness among the principals of Vocational High Schools differs according to the gender. 2. The obsoleteness among the principals of Vocational High Schools differs according to the teacher?s proficiency. 3.The viewpoint of the principals in Vocational High Schools for the changing and developing era effects the obsoleteness. 4.The social and cultural communication levels of the principals in Vocational High Schools also effects their being obsolete. 5.The principals in Vocational High Schools do not take any precautions against becoming obsolete. 6.It is stated by the survey done to the teachers that; due to the old age of a principal the problems in the school continues 7.The duration of the principals in their jobs in Vocational High Schools also effect their being obsolete.
