Özet (EN)

This study deals with the adsorption of Fe(III), Cu(II) and Co(II) ions from dilute aqueous solutions using batch equilibration technique. Four membranes (PMMA co EA membrane(M1), PMMA co BMA membrane(M2), PMMA co EA / cellulose composite membrane(MS1), PMMA co BMA/cellulose composite membrane (MS2)) were prepared by dissolving Poly(methyl methacrylate-co-ethyl acrylate) P(MMA co EA) and poly(methyl methacrylate-co-butyl methacrylate) P(MMA co BMA) in N,N-dimethyl formamide. In the adsorption of Fe(III), Cu(II) and Co(II) ions on the membranes, the effects of contact time, pH, stirring time, membrane pieces and concentration of metal ions were studied.Adsorption equilibrium was reached in about 120 minute for Fe(III) ions and 75 min for Cu(II) and Co(II) ions. For 1x10-4 M Fe(III) and Cu(II) solutions the maximum adsorptions were found to be 0,535 mmol/m2 and 0,355 mmol/m2 respectively using P(MMA co EA) membranes. The maximum adsorption was found to be 0,615 mmol/m2 and 0,470 mmol/m2 for 1x10-4 M Fe(III) and Co(II) solutions respectively by using P(MMA co BMA) membranes. All adsorption values were provided by the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model.
