Abstract (EN)

Composite materials have been used in many applications in recent years due to their lightness and high strength. In the literature researches, it has been seen that there is not enough research and work on waste metal reinforcement in thermoplastic composites. Therefore, the low velocity impact behavior of thermoplastic composites has been experimentally investigated under different temperature conditions. In this research, glass fiber reinforced polypropylene with 60% glass fiber density ratio, in four different reinforcement ratios (0%, 3%, 5%, 10%) and single thickness (4mm) was produced by hot press method in Dokuz Eylül University Composites Laboratory in 100x100 dimensions. In this study, two different experiments (low velocity impact test and repeated impact test) were performed at three different temperatures (23 ℃, 55 ℃, 75 ℃) and five different energy levels (10J, 20J, 30J, 40J, 50J) on the CEAST Fractovis Plus device. At the end of this research, low velocity impact behavior and repeated impact behavior and mechanical properties of sandwich composites at different energies and different temperature conditions were examined and evaluated with the help of various graphics.
