Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the synthesis of Ca3La(PO4)3 material was carried out by the sol-gel method, and then the structural properties of the product resulting from this material synthesis were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). As a result of examination of its structural properties, it was understood that the desired material was obtained. It has been concluded that the material has a monoclinic structure in structural terms and that Eu3+ doping at different rates does not disrupt the main structure. It has been seen in the SEM images of the material that the material has a granule-like structure and that these granules remain approximately the same as the doping ratio increases, but the homogeneous distribution of the material begins to separate. The luminescence properties of the material were examined by Photoluminescence and Thermoluminescence methods and the materials with different doping ratio of Eu3+ were compared with each other. Luminescence measurements of material samples showed the presence of characteristic peaks at 590 nm (5D0→7F1), 612 nm (5D0→7F2), 650 nm (5D0→7F3) and 696 nm (5D0→7F4), which are associated with Eu3+. This shows that Ca3La(PO4)3 material, which has a monoclinic structure, is a good host material for Eu3+.
