Abstract (EN)

This study involves the application of the economical order quantity model, one of the stock control methods, on the bearing, walker porcelain and valve adjustment materials in the spare part of a factory. A separate safety stock quantity is set for each stock tick in the spare part deposit, and the quantity in stock automatically orders this item when the quantity drops, under the supervision of the system purchasing department. However, it is thought that the safety stock values being used and the economic order quantities are inconsistent. On top of this, it was heard that some stock items had to be recalculated for safety stock and economic order quantity. Classical EOQ model was used in determining EOQ. Data have been collected about the three materials and calculations have been made to use the appropriate methods. In the application of these materials, firstly, the unit cost and the cost of holding the unit needed by this model have been determined. The data supplied from the factory have been tried to detect EOQ = y *, order cycle length (t0) and reorder level (Y) = safety cycle respectively. It has been determined how much to save with the amount of economic order quantity obtained. The last two applications have been investigated as to what policies should be followed when quantity reduction is applied on the bearing and walker porcelain to be used with the Quantity Reduced EOQ Model.
