Culture can be defined as accumulated and non-written rules and laws that pass from on generation to another. The elements creating culture are language, norms, beliefs, symbols, values and cognitive factors. Culture is an evolving and cumulative process. Consumption is defined as buying a product or service in order to meet a request or need of an individual. Nowadays, effects of technological developments and neo-liberalism has transformed the content of culture in terms of consumption. Features of consumer culture can be explained in three titles: commodification of capital within the consumption, people's using commodities in order to display their status and focus over pleasure as a consequence of consumption. According to Badurillard, the consumer culture is an illusion that assists to continuation of capitalism and such a culture is needed for the development of capitalism. In such a culture, what is focus isn't the actual functions of the goods but instead the indexes, or the symbols that they carry. In the movie called Metropia the dystopic World involving control over individuals' minds through shampoo called Dangst and directing people for their own purposes is displayed.
