Changing analisis of assets and sources structure between 1984 and 2008 at deposit banks

Liberalization occured in our country after 1980 have caused very significant changes on financial sector. With the regulations such as changes in exchange rate policy and facilities of domestic and international transfer of capital, the first steps were taken in the way of globalization. The banking sector which has a significant share in the financial system undoubtedly was also affected by these developments.In this study which is explained developments after the liberalization in Turkish banking sector, changes in banks' asset and source structure are studied to determine by the fund flow analysis.Fund flow analysis covers banks being active in 1984 - 2008 period in the Turkish Banking Sector and shows the changes experienced in the funding sources and the use of funds in this period.Then, by using econometric analysis methods, effects on the bank's assets and resources structures of developments occured after the financial liberalization are revealed as statistically.In this study, it is made cointegration analysis comparing 24-year balance sheet data of banks being active in Turkish Banking Sector with certain economic variables, and econometric results finded by analysis are shared in the conclusion section.
