In the early periods, the perspective on rabita was generally a method of self-discipline, but this idea began to show some differences in terms of both form and application, especially after the 19th century with Mevlana Halid-i Baghdadi. Up until this period, there was no serious criticism or opposition or total disregard for rabita. This difference in practice caused the ideas against rabita to change and created a situation of opposition, criticism and criticism. Works were also written as a response to internal and external criticism, especially in the Naqshbandi Order.
