Abstract (EN)

This research aims to analytically examine the alignment of Mevlana İdris's children's books with the values envisioned in the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum. The primary objective of the study is to determine the effectiveness of these books in transmitting social and moral values to children through education. The research evaluates the contributions of Mevlana İdris's works within the context of values education, analyzing their potential use as educational materials based on scientific foundations. This study investigates the transmission of values that support children's social and moral development through education in the context of rapidly changing social structures and increasing cultural diversity. In this context, examining Mevlana İdris's children's books from the perspective of values education in the social studies curriculum highlights their effectiveness as educational materials.The importance of the research is emphasized by its in-depth contribution to current educational practices and curriculum development processes. This study aims to provide scientifically-based recommendations for educators and curriculum developers by analyzing the impact of values education on children and re-evaluating the selection criteria for educational materials. The findings of the study aim to assist educators and curriculum developers in making more informed and effective decisions when selecting resources that support children's holistic development and reinforce societal values.
