Abstract (EN)

Acute mesenteric ischemia is the most common urgent abdominal vascular pathology, with a high mortality of 60?70 % and eventuating with acute abdomen. Although numerous laboratuary tests are performed for early diagnosis and treatment; a diagnostic parameter with high specifity doesn?t stil exist.The aim of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency of diamine oksidase (DAO), cittrulline and C- reactive protein (CRP) values in rats with experimental mesenteric ischemia model, in early period. 3 groups (kontrol, temporary ischemia, permanent ischemia) each consisting of 7 female Wistar albino gender rats was included in our study. 12 hours after the procedure, intracardiyac puncture was performed for drawing blood. Blood samples were used for evaluating urea, creatinin, citrulline, DAO and CRP levels. Furthermore, gut resection was performed for each subject and samples were determined histologically in order to evaltuate the ischemic gut damage. According to control group, DAO levels higher and citrulline levels are lower in the other groups. CRP levels exhibited no meaningful differance between groups. Histopathologial findings proved that longer ischemia period, resulted with meaningfully increased tisue damage in gut. Finally, increased DAO and decreased strullin levels are parameters with enough specifity and sensitivity in early diagnosis of acute mesenteric ischemia.
