Abstract (EN)
BODIPY compounds are in demand by scientists today due to their fluorescence properties, high quantum yields, low absorption emission bandwidth and multifunctional structure. Within the scope of this thesis, 5 new molecules, which are derivatives of BODIPY fluorophores, were synthesized. The structures of the synthesized molecules were determined using 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FT IR, cyclic voltammetry, UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. In this study, chelation products were obtained by interacting 4-bromobenzaldehyde with different boronic acids. By treating the chelating products obtained with pyrrole, new conjugated BODIPY compounds with potential fluorescence were synthesized. In the spectroscopic analyzes, the compounds obtained gave green fluorescence, while the BODIPY compound with the –SCH3 group bound red fluorescence. Interlocking functional structures did not cause any significant changes in the Stokes shift. The new groups added to the BODIPY core show different photophysical and electrochemical properties and thus the potential to be used in different application areas increases the importance of derivatization of the BODIPY core.
