Abstract (EN)
In photocatalytic applications, addressing global energy and environmental challenges, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) holds promise. Developed to overcome the limitations of standard structures, mesoporous g-C3N4 is a critical strategy for maximizing photocatalytic efficiency with its large surface area, superior diffusion properties, and high light absorption capacity in the visible region. In this thesis, heterojunction nanocomposite structures were designed using bismuth vanadate (BiVO4), which has high visible light sensitivity, and V2O5 species with multiple redox levels, in order to further enhance the photocatalytic activity of mesoporous g-C3N4. Within the scope of the study, optimized hybrid structures were synthesized by doping BiVO4 and Vanadium oxide at different stoichiometric ratios, promoting the dissociation of charge carriers and preventing electron-hole recombination. The performance of these synthesized advanced nanocomposites has been extensively studied on three main axes. These Photocatalytic dye removal have tested the breakdown efficiencies of dyes such as Safranin and RBBR to simulate the treatment of industrial wastewater and demonstrated the environmental improvement potential of composites. Photoregeneration performance and reusability (stability) tests have been carried out, which are vital for the economic and practical applicability of the material. Photocatalytic hydrogen production within the framework of clean energy, hydrogen production capacities using solar energy through water splitting have been measured, and their potential as an energy carrier has been evaluated. In this way, it makes a significant contribution to the development of stable and multifunctional new generation photocatalysts that exhibit high performance under visible light in the fight against the energy crisis and environmental pollution.
