Abstract (EN)

Many studies, methods and materials have been developed in order to improve the mechanical and durability qualifications of the concretes used in our country. By means of recent developing technology, different types of synthetic fiber reinforcements have been produced to provide a fibrous structure to the concrete. Considering the environmental damages of the fly ash, which are the stack effluent of the thermal power plant, its utilizing withinside the concrete has been an interesting issue. As part of the study, in pre-designed concrete mixes, micro and macro synthetic fiber reinforcements were used on steady pace and instead of cement fly ash was substituted at the rates of %10, %20 and %30. Micro and macro synthetic fiber reinforcements of which dosages determined in preliminary tests were utilized as monolithic and hybrid on steady dosages within the concrete mixes. In all concrete designs, the water / binder rate and the plasticizer / binder rate were kept steady. 13 different concrete combinations have been produced in total; and slump and weight per unit of volume determination experiments were made on fresh concrete. On hardened concrete samples, water absorption, standard pressure endurance, beam bending endurance, freezing and thawing in mean water endurance, freezing and thawing in salt water endurance and fire endurance determination experiments were made. In the end of this experimental study, it is observed that significant improvements occurred on mechanical and durability qualifications of the concretes substituted with fly ash and reinforced with synthetic fiber. Improvements occurred on concrete's mechanical qualifications with the use of micro and macro synthetic fiber reinforcements; and improvements occurred on concrete's durability qualifications with the substitution of fly ash. It has been concluded that within the synthetic fiber reinforced concretes fly ash up to %30 can be substituted instead of cement.
