The effect of microcredits on local development: The example of Batman province

In this study, the effects of microcredits for local development, which have been especially the main topics of academic studies in terms of many fields in recent years, have been analyzed. In this regard, the data collected from the 126-female member getting the microcredit in Batman with the help of questionnaire technique was analyzed. As a result of frequency analysis, it has been indicated that the related credits are efficient not only for establishing employment and income at the very beginning but also it is effective for developing Batman in terms of many other fields. However, most of the participants find the microcredits insufficient in terms of quantity and diversity. Consequently, it is anticipated increasing and extending such microcredits will contribute to local development in many aspects especially in female employment. In the study in addition to frequency analyses, hypothesis have been suggested to test whether the judgements related to advantages of microcredits, the obstacles of microcredits and the effects of microcredits to the local development in the aspect of some descriptive characteristics of the participants indicate statistically significant differences. All of the hypothesis tested by parametric and nonparametric gap tests have been declined. Moreover, correlational analysis has been made based on the normal distribution of the data but any relationship between the variables has not been found.
