Özet (EN)
The increase in data traffic created by human beings due to the rising of the smartphones usage is the main problem of our time. The Cisco Company's estimation is that IP traffic is going to be from 1.2 zettabytes to 3.3 zettabytes by 2021. As 5G technology begins to enter our lives, the need for high-capacity data transfer is going to be an increase in the near future. Therefore high data transmission rates will be needed. Millimeter wave radio links are well suited for this application area due to their high bandwidth and data transmission speeds. Because of the increasing data traffic, it is envisaged to use millimeter radio links to transmit data from one point to another in small cell stations. Alternatively, fiber cabling, which can be considered for use, is expensive to install and needs to be excavated in order to install the infrastructure. In addition to the lack of such a need for millimeter-wave radio links, the cost of installation is also very low compared to the fiber infrastructure. Millimeter radio links are able to serve up to 1km for 60 GHz and 3km for 80 GHz within 99.99% availability distance. The link length is shorter than the radio links used at frequencies of 7 / 13 / 23 GHz because of the atmospheric losses at 60 GHz and 80 GHz frequencies. However, the data rate can be up to 10 Gbps according to the existing bandwidths and modulation types. In this thesis, with the RF circuit design baseband signals which are from DC to 2 GHz are radiated to 60 GHz millimeter radio link frequency. This structure, which can be used in wireless communication applications, can increase baseband signals to millimeter wave frequencies and allow data traffic to be transported from one point to another at high capacity in small cellular and other cells. In addition, in this thesis, different manufacturing technologies are compared and waveguide design is accomplished for V band.
