Abstract (EN)

Along with the new developments in technology, it has ceased to be an exception for art Works to be accessible to people from all around the world. Especially through the Internet and television, which can enter almost every home, cinema productions and television shows can have a global character. At the present, it is a very common situation that the popular programs on the television channels of a country or the movies featuring foreign actors are in demand by the television channels or producers in other countries. In this context, The subject of this study consists of the conflicts, which have elements of foreignness, arising from cinema productions and television shows. In the introduction part of the study, after explaining how the issue is discussed in international and regional regulations, the substantive law provisions of Turkish law and comparative law are described. In the first chapter of the study, the applicable law in disputes arisen from foreign elements in cinema films and television programmes are examined based on lex fori and lex causae. In the second chapter of the study, how the Turkish courts evaluate the disputes arisen from foreign elements in cinema films and television programmes and applicable law are illuminated.
