The opinions of the teachers working in the preschool education institutions about the curriculum implemented in these institutions

This research has been done in order to determine the opinions of the teachers concerning Preschool Education Programme prepared for 36-72 month children that was issued by MEB ( Ministry of National Education) in 2002, and about the usage of the programme. The universe of the research which is in the status of relative investigation was formed by the teachers who work in the nursery school and nursery classrooms private and state,that belong to MEB everywhere in Türkiye. The datum of the research were collected from the 1194 teachers who are on duty in total 17 provinces that take place in the sampling, which are Bursa, Istanbul, Muğla, Izmir, Antalya, Mersin, Zonguldak, Ordu, Kastamonu, Ankara, Kayseri, Malatya, Erzurum,Bingöl 5 Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Siirt by means of questionnaire. The research has been supported by MEB The Department Of Researching and Devoloping Education. At the analysis of the datum collected, the frequency and percentage dispersion,chi-square test, arithmetic medium, standard deviation, single way anova test and also to determine which groups are different from each other Turkey HSD Post-Hoc Test statistics are used. The findings which are obtained from the research can be summed up in this way, in most preschool state and private instititions belonged to MEB, it has been determined that the children who benefit from the preschool education programme are mostly 6 years old. It has been understood that a great amount of the teachers started to apply the 2002 Preschool Education Programme on time,that they had the first information about the programme from the official writing sent to their school and from theig colleagues.The teachers,while applying the programme, the troubles they came face to face have been respectively ; insufficiency of the guidance works, insufficiency of the physical conditions, the number of children being many and insufficiency of tools and materials. The teachers, while preparing daily lesson plan, had troubles on the targets, the behaviours expected to gain and on performing connection amongst the subjects and on evaluating; while preparing the yearly plan, they had problems mostly on determining the dispersion of targets and the behaviours hoped to gain in the year, while planning and applying the family participating facilities. While performing the activities in the daily plan; it has been determined that they performed the spare time,Turkish Language, preperation to read and write and game activities "always", the music facilities "mostly", science and nature facilities "sometimes". It has been understood that, while planning the educational situations, the teachers thought the children's convenience to their interests and the convenience to the behaviours hoped to gain. According to the teachers' opinions about the level of performing the preschool education programme, the targets on psico-motor, social - emotional and data processing improvement area was " performed completely", the targets at self care were performed "mostly". It has been pointed out that the teachers thought,as the most important cause of the targets that weren't performed,respectively insufficiency in physical conditions, the behaviour of the families, insufficiency of tools and materials, the number of children being more; that the teachers worked in Türkiye in different regions, at performing the targets, as the most important reason, have seen the insufficiency of the physical conditions. A great amount of the teachers performed evaluating the daily and yearly plans. It has been determined that most teachers used the behaviour evaluating form and the most used once a month. It has been understood that nearly all the teachers thought that family participating increased the success of the programme. It has been determined that at supporting the families to attend, the activities that they profited were; parents' meetings, meetings of informing, travels,etc.
