Abstract (EN)

The Turkish War of Independence or the National Struggle which resulted in victory on September 9, 1922, with the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk starting on May 19, 1919, took place in great depression and struggles. One of the toughest phases of these struggles is the period of internal revolts in the years 1919-1920. A significant part of these rebelles was suppressed by the Kuva-yı Seyyare, the forces of Ethem the Circassian, the mobile forces of Ethem, both financially strengthened and gained a great reputation in public after each rebellion. In addition to his relations with the Green Army Association, Ethem and his brothers, as well as the public empowered image and the great force gained, have moved it to a significant political position. In the end, Ethem who gradually strengthened and began to see himself stronger than the The Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Ethem, argued that the enemy can not be overcome with the regular army, he has not listened to the orders of the Western Front and he has rebelled by involving in tug of war on power with Ankara that he constantly disagrees. Ethem, who was suppressed in rebellion, did not find a way out and passed to the Greek occupation site. Thus, Circassian Ethem's active role in the War of Independence ended.
