The effects of architecturel places on place-fiction of cinema

In this thesis, the combined relationship between architecture and cinema, place as common denominator, gathered under five main topics is examined. In the first part, informations about the purpose, scope and method of the thesis are provided. In the second part, reffering to the historical development of cinema, the proces of cinema from its discovery to the present time and the development of architecture in cinema are described. In the third chapter which is titled as ?Architecture, Cinema and Space Concept?, the elements and components that make up architecturel space are explained and these components that give meaning to the space on the cinema venue context are investigated. Referring to the example film spaces, assessments are made. Again, in the third part, space perception in cinema and architecture, the fotmation and the patterns of use of space in cinema are described. In the fourth part the relationship between two disciplines is tried to be read through example films.
