Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTIn 20th century, especially developments by technology and increase in the use of energy,cause environmental pollution and it becomes a reason of destruction in ecological system.Human being orientes to renewable energy resources because of environmental pollutioncausing by using of fossil energy resources also being exhausted of them.Ecological building desing becomes more important in the world because, approximately thehalf of consumption in use of energy is in the buildings. The design of building and thesystems which use the renewable energy to produce energy for using in the building wouldreduce the energy requirement, and this would be a precaution for the enviromental pollution.Within the environmental problems and reasons of them, it?s important to specify theimportance of ecological buildings, in case of living in healthy environment continiously.The study includes description of environment-energy-ecology terms, the reasons ofenvironmental problems with possible answer proposals, approaches to ecological buildings,desing criterions and appliances, the potential of renewable energy resources in Türkiye, todeterminate if it?s possible to build ecological buildings that use these resources.Keywords: Ecological building, environment, energy, ecology, renewable energy resources.xi
