Editing of the arhitectural design studio through experimental architecture concept

Bringing up the educational impact of experimental architecture, this study asserts that architectural events carried out through experimental approach plays an important role on the development of the architectural environment. It claims that experimental architecture provides a continuous learning environment for architecture. Accordingly, it deals with the architectural design studios in the context of architectural education. By this way, it aims to reveal how architectural education gears up and how the progress of architecture is provided through editing of the architectural design studios through experimental architecture approach. For this purpose, it constitutes a comprehensive knowledge infrastructure concerning Experimental Architecture. This knowledge infrastructure involves the researches concerning the conceptual structure of experimental architecture, the observations concerning the experimental architectural events both in the practical and academic environment and the examinations on the studio editings of several architectural design studios that process in the conception of experimental architecture. Referring in this researches, observations and examinations, the thesis basically discusses the necessity of editing architectural design studios through experimental architecture approach. In continuity with this discussion, it puts forth some proposals intended to constitute a model of an architectural design studio processing through experimental architecture conception. This proposals are developed in interaction Atelier 1 in the architectural department of Gazi University. Referring to the knowledge infrastructure that developed in the thesis and the studio models of Atelier 1, it deals with the models of the architectural design studio that process through experimental architecture conception, concerning the content, the know-how production, the process and the products of the studio.
