Discussion about the principles of rehabilitation and reorganizaton in architecture: As a model Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Dardanos yerleskesi

In the developing environement of turism sector the cities which have naturel, historical and cultural values are providing more benefits for activities of recreation and turism; as they are located at first places in turism market. Despite the fact of Çanakkale's natural, historical and cultural values and jeopolitical importance; the city couldn't be able to use these advantages properly and create resources for own recreation activities. As a result Çanakkale can not progress. Besides its wealthiness about the potential of recreation and turism, Çanakkale is also an university city. Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University supports the world wide presentation of the city by attending to internatiol and national domains taking into consideration of the area's resources. Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University has a lot of campus which has been spread to different parts of Çanakkkale. In this study , the main concept of rehabilitation and reorganization are detaily studied under the name "Discussing the basic principles of rehabilitation and reorganization in architecture :The Campus ?Dardanos- Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University " Along this study Çanakkale has been introduced , the natural, cultural, historical and architectural values have been mentioned . Analyzing " The Campus ?Dardanos- ÇOMÜ " several problems have been found out and the solutions supported with the principles of rehabilitation and reorganization are presented. Around these context, this study is seperated into four parts. In the first chapter; the terms "urban studies" , "urban renewation" , "rehabilitation" and "reorganization" are introduced . As well as the reason to choose this site, the aim of this study and the methods are stated. In the second chapter rehabilitation and reorganization terms are explained under the section urban studies. Urban design section is followed by urban renewation and sustainability among renewation. Sorts of urban renewation , rehabilitation and reorganization are also explained in details. In the third chapter; the values that create an turism potential for the city Çanakkale are represented seperating topics as natural, cultural, historical and stuructural values. The general items of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University are given and The Campus - Dardanos - Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University are explained with details, by the visual objects like photographs, plans and maps. The current situation, by this observation the problems which are arised and their solutions are analysed. In conclusion; it is determined the current situation of Çanakkale in perspective of turism and recreation .The problems of The Campus - Dardanos - Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University , solutions and strategies are propesed under the renewation and rehabilitation principles .
