Abstract (EN)

In this study, the strength and the importance of the interdisciplinary nature of architecture has been highligted and the interaction between architecture and cinema has been examined in terms of "space" which is a common area of these two disciplines. In accordance with this relationship it has been focused on the interaction between architecture and one of the genres of the cinema "science fiction". The aim of the thesis study has been the examination of the potential of this relationship between architecture discipline and science fiction cinema, through the concept of "home". In this context, "home" as a subjective living place of person and "homelesness" as a phenomenon constitutes the actual object of the discussion. For this discussion, the movies Blade Runner and Minority Report is addressed for sampling. The necessity of the dimensions that is presented for the formation of "home" in a conceptual framework and the situation of nonformation of "home" in case of the lack of sub-expansions of these dimensions have been confirmed by way of reading the movies.
