Changing tectonics and reflections of form by digital media in architecture

This thesis is searching changing tectonics of architecture through to developing possibilities when digital tools integrated to design process in the late 20th century that affected from other industries and the reason that includes complex and curvilinear geometry characteristic which makes freer, flexible and various alternatives of form.Digital media provides to designers a new and innovative perception and vision tool. The result of the collaboration between designer (who has knowledge) and digital tools, the designing process is advancing different from conventional methods. For example designer can control performance and reactions to environment effects,is able to experience spatial and physical by watching perspectives or makes a choice between a lot of creating alternatives. Designing is becoming a digital media that is including whole processes. Because the product is the result of designing process and methods as the designer?s creation who works like a maestro. Such that even construction component can obtain by file to factory and assemble coded places easily. For designers who can adopt computational and based on derived working principle of digital tools, designing becomes generating stragedy and method. During designing, possibilities that provides by computer shows to designers alternatives that any non-Euclidean geometric forms?like algorithmic, fractal geometry and isomorphic surfaces-is able to produce and form is becoming dynamic and flexible.In this content of research, digital designing technologies and methods used in architecture are studied. Developing a new architectural thinking by digitalmedia, it is emphasized that transformation of architectonic, representation style, tools and manufacturing type and examined digital designing studios and current applications related with this subject.
