Evaluation of the miniature art as a book illustration in the framework of Turkish graphic design

Since the existence of mankind, communication has become one of the important necessity in life. The instinction of communication, which started with the cave paintings in the early ages, developed by the invention of writing and played an important role for the passing time to call as a history. Miniature art has continued as a traditional art scene with its historical, literary, cultural and artistic values in its surroundings with its adventure over a thousand years. In the study, the historical process of the miniature art was evaluated, all the stages of development and stagnation were revealed, the causes and results of these stages were examined and evaluated in the frame of Turkish graphic design; the technics, characteristics and functionality researched extensively with the mission as a book illustration, the possible uses of technology, which developed in the 21st century conjuncture, are mentioned.
