Abstract (EN)

In this study, the optimum conditions for the preparation of TiO2 films on glass substrates from TiO2 nanoparticles synthesized in sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT)/heptane/water reverse micelles have been explored. The sol-gel method has been utilized in the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles and titanium isopropoxide (TİPO) has been used as the precursor. The influences of some variables such as TİPO concentration and ageing of the sol prepared in micellar solution, stirring velocity, [H2O]/[TİPO ratio and spin coating speed on the nanoparticle and film formation have been investigated as well as the effects of some ligands complexing with Ti4+ ions. Dip-coating and spin coating methods have been compared in terms of the film morphologies and it has been concluded that more uniform films with smaller-sized pores can be produced by spin-coating method.Morphologies of TiO2 films have been investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). SEM studies enabled to determine the formation mechanism of the TiO2 films besides the nanosized building blocks of their layers and of the TiO2 crystals.Key Words :Titanium dioxide, film formations, miceller media, nanoparticle, AOT
