Abstract (EN)

Mythology is a branch of science that has survived to the present day as a legacy from the cultures of societies. Existing societies have produced many works on the creation of the universe, gods, plants and animals. It is observed that the works put forward are predominantly Roman and Greek mythology. Topics; While it deals with the stories of existence, destruction and transformation, it contains substructures such as love, war and betrayal. Metamorphosis, as well as transformation stories, such as from a human to a plant, from an object to an animal, are mentioned a lot among these topics, and we often come across in novels, movies and works of art. In the researches carried out in this direction, the mythological legends belonging to most cultures in the world were examined, and the transformed stories from the creation to the present were emphasized, without being limited to the mythologies with common narratives of plant transformation stories. While the transformations in folklore and religious narratives are included, their reflections in contemporary art are examined, the approach of artists to mythological stories, their figures, interpretation and expressive power are discussed. By examining the place, form and conceptual approach of the concept of plant and metamorphosis, which is the starting point of the research, in art; It has been tried to reveal the historical adventure of human beings and the plant origins of bodies and objects undergoing the phenomenon of metamorphosis.
