Reflection of mytology to Turkish folk dances

Although Mythology first was perceived as supernatural stories by the social scientist in time it was accepted that it combined many aspects of culture within it. Mythology which is described as the main source of the culture it represents; it could also be described as the collective national conscientious of societies. Mythology which has prelims with archetypes that is considered to be the origin of the actions performed by the people who form the society, has also been described as the concept of collective subconsciencis. Mythology which did not fined possible place in the archaic times was thought to be formed by the images that have been implanted in the collective subconsciencis that were reflected through the art in the present time. Mythology which is considered to be the origin of the entire cultural heritage is also been, time to time, seen as one of the main conceptual resources for Turkish folk dances. However, in our country, the general knowledge regarding mythology is a collection of oral text. Even it is not in the whole science World, among people, mythology has been perceived as the stories regarding the only life of the supernatural of the Greek culture. But, contrary to this general perception, every culture with deep historical past, have a tradition of their own mythological stories and system belong to their culture. The mythological tradition in the Turkish culture, reflects a combination story of many different Turkish tribes who took a different path through the migrations in the process of development within themselves; also due to dissipation to a vast geography after their first appearance in the history and interactions with many different cultures and traditions which they adopted in rapport complies their mythological heritage. Like in all the tradition of World mythology, the Turkish mythology holds and important functions of transferring and reflecting the myths and the stories to the next generations of the society since the time it was formed. Mythology achieves this function through the myths that have found a life in a body of rituals. The rituals that have been evaluated as the daily expressions of the old Turkish belief system, is the shared main cultural features of Turkish societies live in a different geography. The rituals which is seen also the main source of dance, accepted as the origin of the plays in general. Rituals provide a dramatic aspect to the holly actions or behaviors of people that is expressed through dance. In Turkish culture, within folk dances, this expression is reflected through the theatrical plays which sometimes also combine the folk dances within it. Theatrical village play themes, motifs and the subjects is reflected through the mythology of a culture that carries the traces of an archaic rituals. Moreover, place of the music, dance and dramatic aspect as the parts of a play is important in when considering their prelims with archaic rituals. In folk dances, mythology with a clear cut is seen through the context of performance and the form of transformations. In the traditional performance context, it is possible to observe a journey of mythical time through the dance. The form of performance relates to the cult of sky is like the form reflected to the earth. The form of transforming reflects the interaction process between the master and of a student who is being trained to become a shaman who is considered to be the first carries of the Turkish mythological stories. Through some of the folk dances, through the reflection of mythology, it is possible to see the motifs, of sky, tree, fire and water representing the important gods, goddess, heroes and holly animals in Turkish culture.
