Abstract (EN)

In this study, Mb imprinted poly(2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate) (PHEMA) films were prepared via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP) of corresponding monomers for myoglobin (Mb) by using molecular imprinting method. Mb adsorption from Mb solutions with five different concentrations was investigated by two types of films prepared by non-imprinted and imprinted methods. Imprinted films with Mb showed higher adsorption capacity and specificity for Mb than films prepared by the usual procedure. At all studied conditions the highest Mb adsorption was observed in the imprinted films with 0.20 mg/mL Mb. In addition, the imprinted films exhibited both good selectivity for Mb and high adsorption rate depending on the number of Mb sized cavities.Key Words : Surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization, molecular imprinting, Myoglobin, adsorption
