Abstract (EN)

Examination of the impact of mobile practice on students 'academic achievements in distance education, their attitude towards the lesson, and students' self-learning levels along with technology The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using mobile practice application in Social Studies course on students' academic achievement, attitudes towards the course, and students' self-learning levels with technology. In the research, a semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group is used. The research's study group's qualitative part consists of a total of 48 students, 25 in the experimental group and 23 in the control group, randomly selected from the students studying in a secondary school in Ankara Kahramankazan district. Within the scope of the research, the experimental process has lasted for 6 weeks. While the subjects related to the unit of 'We and Our Values' of the 6th grade Social Studies course determined in this process were explained to the students in the same way through distance education and appropriate platforms for 6 weeks in the experimental and control groups, the mobile practice application was not used in the control group. Social Studies Attitude Scale, Self-Learning with Technology Scale and Academic Achievement Test have been used as data collection tools within the scope of the research. The collected data has been analyzed using arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t test from parametric tests. Within the scope of the research, the following results were obtained: The social studies course reinforced with the mobile practice application in distance education contributes significantly to the attitudes of the students towards the course. The social studies course supported by the mobile practice application also contributes significantly to the academic success of the students. In addition, the students who use the mobile exercise application in social studies course contribute significantly to their self-learning levels with technology compared to the students who do not use the mobile exercise application.
