An application on mobile devices: web based price searching system

Improvements in the technology affect our daily life in many aspects. Especially, with the development of mobile technologies, accessing up-to-date information becomes possible regardless of time and place. In marketing, customers can search multiple sellers who sell the same product quickly and perform their purchases operation from the best possible seller with a best possible price. This situation is usually valid for the nation-wide marketing companies. On the other hand, this is not valid for the local marketing companies. In this research work, a mobile application is developed which can be used by the customer in their shopping through local markets. With the application, customers can perform barcode based search operation for their desired products on the registered local marketing companies, access price information and select the best possible local market. Customers save time and money by using the application. Additionally, using the applications, local marketing companies can reach target customers easily, and avoid using flyers.
