An investigation on mobile graphical user interfaces' analysis for different need groups

Thanks to the internet technologies developed in Web 2.0 and later, the number of internet users is increasing day by day. With the increase in mobile users and the diversification of the users, the user experience has become a more important criteria. Graphical user interface designs, which are one of the most important instruments of user experience, are being developed in terms of usability criteria. In this context, in this thesis, first of all, academic studies aimed at different needs groups were scanned and examined. In this study, the relationship between graphic design and digital technologies has been investigated and the user interface is limited by design trends, usability criteria and the components that make up the interface. The requirements of the users with different needs were investigated in terms of the factors affecting the usability of the mobile interface designs. In chapter 1st, the process of interaction of graphic design with digital technologies is examined. The user experience and usability requirements of the different needs groups identified in section 2 have been tried to be examined within the framework of the interface design and the interface design trends evaluated for usability are explained with examples. In the third chapter, the historical development of the mobile application interface designs as a graphic design product is mentioned. In chapter 4, a mobile application example has been developed in light of the information obtained from literature review and mobile application interfaces. The project is intended to initiate a discussion of interface solutions for mobile app users over the age of 60, as a special need group.
