In the preparation phase, the team who complete the application was formed and the chair which is used for sample was selected. Customers with whom bought previously sample chair were got in contact by being transferred the qualities which were determined by the team to the data collection form and five qualities that were given much importance were determined. According to the qualities that were determined, formulas were created to calculate the level of satisfaction of customers. During the application, satisfaction levels of qualifications and benefits are determined thanks to formulas. Chair costs were calculated by determining the cost of the chair functions and chair functions. By designing benefit-cost graphic, the functions that are high efficiency and low cost were determined. During the evaluation process, starting from the functions that are high efficiency and low cost, functions such as the chair's being mounted or demounted, reducing or increasing the number of back section, reducing or increasing the thickness of the sponge, using curved or straight track in front and side section, using or not using beam, using or not using fabric that can be cleaned were discussed. Alternative models of chairs are named as Akçakoca, Cumayeri, Çilimli and Gölyaka. By new designs being gone through the application steps, they were applied to value analysis and the data that was obtained were compared with the data of the sample chair. In conclusion, It is determined that the value of the model of sample chair is 19.73 , the value of Akçakoca model of chair is 21.62, the value of the Cumayeri model of the chair is 37.35, the value of the Çilimli model of chair is 38.59, and the value of Gölyaka model of chair is 43.84.
