Abstract (EN)

Although cinema and fashion are different art forms, they share commonalities in educating generations in aesthetics, recreating the atmosphere of the past and evoking social themes. Through the power of storytelling, cinema offers people the opportunity to learn behavioural patterns, while fashion plays an important role in expressing personal style and reflecting social norms. Both have the potential to mobilise people's emotions and influence society. Cinema is known for its emotional depth and power to stir consciences. While stimulating the imagination of the audience, it also deals with social themes by transporting them into the atmosphere of the past. The narration of stories and the details of technical elements can have a profound effect on the audience. Fashion is important as a form of personal expression. It helps people express their style and show themselves in a way that conforms to social norms. Both art forms contain complex structures in which narrative, technical and aesthetic elements are analysed in detail. Cinema and fashion have a similar potential to mobilise people's emotions and have a profound impact on society. Therefore, both play an important cultural role and influence the way people think and feel. When examining the interaction between cinema and fashion, the effects of professionally designed icons, product placement strategies and the industry's star strategy on consumers are clearly visible. These concepts have contributed to the creation of a common system between the fields of cinema and fashion, which developed in the same century and evolved together, feeding each other. The strong marketing skills of cinema and its power to reach large masses have enabled the fashion industry to reach more consumers and have the potential to make more sales. Today, although the relationship between cinema and fashion is not as tight as it used to be, both art forms still contain elements that influence and shape each other. While cinema inspires the fashion world, fashion is also influenced by the styles of the characters in films. This thesis will explore the interplay between cinema and fashion, how both art forms influence and shape each other, and examine the contributions of cinema to the fashion world and the inspirations of the fashion industry from cinema.
