Abstract (EN)

Model Based Predictive Control algorithms have been used in academic studies and industrial processes because of development of predictive control view at control engineering recently. These algorithms have sufficient results for many different applications as it has been understood in this study. The implementation of algorithms is easier than the other algorithms. Therefore, these algorithms have been accepted by industry. In this study there is a historical perspective for model-based predictive control. Widely used Model Based Predictive Control algorithms; Generalized Predictive Control, Dynamic Matrix Control and Model Algorithmic Control are introduced in this study. Both Single Input Single Output Case and Multivariable Case are explained in details. Calculation of the control laws of all algorithms has been explained in this study. Simulations of Generalized Predictive Control and Dynamic Matrix Control algorithms for different processes have been made and the results of these simulations have been observed. There is a comparison of PID Controller and Generalized Predictive Controller results and there are comments about this comparison in this study. The simulations and calculations of the algorithms have been done in MATLAB environment. Keywords: Model, Prediction, Control, Algorithm
