Abstract (EN)
This work is in the field of Society Philosophy and aims to provide criticism and solutions to problems of modernity such as capitalism, industry, civilization, technology and consumption society, which are the modern western cultures and institutions of Ivan Illich, who lived in the 20th century and was Austrian philosopher and social critic. The first part of the work will include Illich's life, works and scientific personality. In the second part of the work, Illich's criticism of modernity will be mentioned, and in the third part, which is the last part of the work, Illich's solution to this problem will be discussed. In this work, we will focus on the idea of innovation that Illich regards as an ideology and this idea how dragged from tradition to rupture the society will be examined. These steps that modernism has brought a problematic dimension will be on economic, environmental, socio-cultural and ethical deterioration. Since these problematics constitute a mechanical world, lost of human values and the dependence on their own production of the person will be examined in this work.
