Abstract (EN)

In the first part of the study, the emergence process of street art is explained through different definitions and applications of public space. Its development; freedom and restrictions have been researched and presented in connection with laws, historical events and trends. While exploring the changing boundaries of art and artists; the parallelism between street art and art therapy have been examined. In the second and third sections; modern plastic arts in the context of street art in Turkey have been presented with comparative examples around the world. Plastic arts around the world in context of street art have been exemplified by; Banksy, Mark Jenkins, Slinkachu, Mentalgassi, Isaac Cordal, Bordello II, Gregos and in Turkey; İskender Giray, Darağaç, Avareler, Küf.
