Criticism of modernist theories of nationalism

The idea of nationalism, which has influenced the whole world, appears as one of the most important intellectualorien nations. People speak the same language, the same groups who share similar valuesand culture in thel ight of the same value together to build a future common political argument in light of the most basicuse of nationalism to unitearound the idea. It is seen that it fundamentally affects the world, and the concept of the idea of nationalism is still on the agenda as a more controversialissue. In the thesisentitled "Criticism of modernist theories of nationalism", various theories that try to explain the concept of nationalism will be examined and a critical look at modernist theory will be tried. In this context, in the first part of the study, an over view of the theories of nationalism will be tried to be made. Its basic valuesand content will be studied. In the second part, we will focus on modernist theory and try to examine the data presented by modernism.
