The new aminomethylphosphine linked glucose and their synthesis of metal complexes, investigation of antibacterial activity

Abstract (EN)

In this study the modified glucose containing amino methyl phosphine ligands N,N-bis (AcO-α-D-glukoz-phosphinophenyl) aminomethyl ([(AcO-α-gGlukozPhPCH2)2NCH3]) (dglupam) and N,N-bis (di AcO-α-D-Glukozphosphinophenyl) aminobutyl ([(AcO-α-Dglukoz)2PCH2)2NBu)]) (dglupab) and their Pt(II), Pd(II), Co(II), Au(I) metal complexes have been synthesized in dichloromethane under nitrogen atmosphere using the Schlenk method. All the metal complexes and the ligands have been characterized by,FT-IR, NMR (1H, 13C, 31P) spectroscopic and elemental analysis techniques. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesized ligands and metal complexes were studied by disk diffusion method at 500-1000 mg/L concentration on some bacteries. Generally the all metal complexes were found to be as effective as the standard antibiotics. The Pt(II) complexes have shown the best antimicrobial activity in comparison with the other metal complexes. Au(I) metal complexes have been effective on all studied bacterial species and the other metal complexes were found to be as effective as the standard antibiotics.
